Use any desk in the office
If you need to use someone else’s desk, you can log into Amicus from any PC in your firm and have it behave as if you are at your own desk. So you’re not tied to any machine. Great for working from a boardroom, for people with two offices, or those who share desks.
Take it anywhere
If you use a notebook, simply disconnect from the network and all your practice information goes with you. While away, you can do almost anything that you could have done at the office, including working with whatever documents you selected to take with you. When you return to the office and re-connect, any changes you made will be synchronized with changes made by others in your firm. With Premium Edition you can even synchronize while away from the office across the Internet.
Optimized to work over VPNs
The Premium Edition of Amicus Attorney 7 has been optimized to work over virtual private networks (“VPNs”). So it makes the most of your connection. Or if your firm has chosen to implement terminal services (e.g. Citrix Systems), Amicus will be equally comfortable.
Synch with your PDA
Key information from Amicus (e.g., your appointments, tasks and contacts) can be synchronized between your personal digital assistant (PDA) and Amicus. If you use a device with the Palm™ OS, just push its HotSync® button. Or if your PDA links with Microsoft Outlook®, then the dynamic real-time synchronization between Amicus Attorney (Premium Edition) and Outlook will keep your pocket organizer up to date. Lots of controls are available to filter what you share, so your PDA has just what you need..
